This option did not appear in the installer "Booting" configuration. During installation is also checked other partitions and disks for adding other installed OS. Yes it is not perfect and there are a lot of troubles like adding Ubuntu with GRUB2 to our bootloader configuration etc. In your case it works as it is accepted. It was found partition on your USB drive what is bootable and includes OS the result is that is also added to your new installed OS. I also accept that in this case it is not necessary because it is USB drive with Live GNOME and you start installation from there. It could be fixed like ignore installation source (USB drive) but maybe somebody needs it I don't know. IMO it is good idea to add it to openFATE. I think that your problem is not a bug but also it is not necessary to add USB drive in this case.
