[Bug 310369] New: opensuseupdater-kde: details dialog not really usable without mouse
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=310369 Summary: opensuseupdater-kde: details dialog not really usable without mouse Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Beta 3 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: tgoettlicher@novell.com ReportedBy: suse-beta@cboltz.de QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- The opensuseupdater-kde details window is not really useable without mouse. When clicking on patch names (not the checkbox), it is additionally highlighted. This multi-selection doesn't have any use and only confuses users. Things get more confusing when the list loses the focus - then there's not even a dotted border that highlights the entry corresponding with the displayed patch description. When using the keyboard, things get even worse: there's no way to display the patch description of any but the first patch. Moving the selection (using the arrow keys) doesn't update the patch description area. Also the space key doesn't help, it only toggles the checkbox. Proposed solution to fix the usability and the keyboard problem at once: change the list so that only one entry can be highlighted, and make sure that the patch description of the highlighted patch is displayed. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
