[Bug 222382] New: Xen domU clock out of sync
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=222382 Summary: Xen domU clock out of sync Product: SUSE Linux 10.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: SuSE Linux 10.1 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Xen AssignedTo: cgriffin@novell.com ReportedBy: avallens@archenergy.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Hello. We're presently running the current release of Xen for SuSE 10.1 on x86_64. All guests also presently run the current SuSE 10.1 release. We have noticed, however, that the system clock on the guests are out of sync with the host. The host system runs ntpd and has the correct time, but it fails to "push" the correct time to the guests as it's supposed to (c.f. http://xen.epiuse.com/xen-faq.txt, "Xen time", near the bottom of the page). I have found a very similar, unresolved, issue in the Xen dev list http://lists.xensource.com/archives/html/xen-devel/2006-07/msg00404.html. I've posted requests on both the Xen-devel list http://lists.xensource.com/archives/html/xen-devel/2006-11/msg00674.html and Novell's xenpreview-dev http://forge.novell.com/pipermail/xenpreview-dev/2006-November/000182.html lists with no response. This problem compromises time stamps on ALL of our production Xen guests. This issue needs to be acknowledged. Thank you!
