[Bug 890082] New: Upower 0.99 doesn't trigger pm-utils /etc/pm/power.d scripts anymore
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=890082 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=890082#c0 Summary: Upower 0.99 doesn't trigger pm-utils /etc/pm/power.d scripts anymore Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Factory Version: 201408* Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 13.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: thardeck@suse.com QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de CC: hrvoje.senjan@gmail.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- I am running current Factory and it is working great. The only regression I have found is that my /etc/pm/power.d script to activate powersave functions isn't triggered anymore if the ac adapter state has changed. After debugging it, it seems that this functionality was removed from upower 0.99. If I downgrade upower to the version from 13.1 it is working again. In the release notes of 0.99 the following is mentioned: "This version contains major API changes. Use the 0.9.* versions if you want to keep using the old API." So I would suggest to downgrade to 0.9.23 again for now unless you know a replacement to call the pm-util scripts or a general one for pm-utils. I haven't tested the suspend scripts but they might be also affected. I mean it is not hard to write a udev rule to call theses scripts but this wouldn't be really user friendly I suppose. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
