I wanted to keep the data in /home, and only overwrite the / (root) partition. In the installation process, I was not able to convince it to keep the partition containing my /home directory. Although I was able to remove the "Format" "F" flag from this partition, in the overview it still displayed (in red) that it would delete the corresponding partition, and this it did. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Try Install Opensuse 11.3 over an existing Linux using a Live CD 2. During the installation configuration, edit the calculated settings for the planned partition scheme and try to delete/overwrite the root / partition, but try to keep the /home partition.
