[Bug 215379] New: Install fails to add CD or factory as source (segfault)
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=215379 Summary: Install fails to add CD or factory as source (segfault) Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Beta 1 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: benji.weber@gmail.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com When yast starts after hardware detection it attempts to add the CD as a source for zypp (dialogue flashes up) immediately it segfaults. A segfault error is flashed up and I am dumped to linuxrc. I cannot find any reference to the segfault in any logfiles in /var/log though. Is there some where else it might be logged, or can I make the logging more verbose? As it failed when adding the CD I thought I'd try factory as a source, but have the same problem adding that -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

sorry, no. use the boot parameter start_shell=1 to have linuxrc run a shell before and after yast. and of course try Beta2. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
