If it's covered by another window, it pauses and will not continue until it receives a mouse click. How to reproduce; 1. Open a gnome-terminal 2. Open gedit and maximize, then minimize (maximize is to make sure it covert gnome-terminal) 3. Go back to gnome-terminal and run find / 3. Unminimize gedit and then minimize it again 4.
