If one clicks on the Online Help Icon on the desktop, a progress dialog appears for about a minute then closes. And yes, I do have network but through VirtualBox it is very slow. Maybe this is part of the problem. Also, I did notice some pages did actually load after pressing refresh. For example, I went to planetkde.org and the page did not load. After pressing refresh, the page loaded successfully.
