[Bug 765080] New: libreoffice menus invisible
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=765080 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=765080#c0 Summary: libreoffice menus invisible Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.2 Version: Factory Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: LibreOffice AssignedTo: bnc-team-ooo@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: seife@novell.slipkontur.de QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: Third Party Developer/Partner Blocker: --- Created an attachment (id=493308) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=493308) screenshot with invisible menu texts Using current Factory, but this happens since quite some time... When opening libreoffice, most menu texts are invisible. This is something with my setup, since it works fine in a freshly installed Factory VM guest. However, I cannot find what it is. I already removed: .ooo-2.0/ .ooo3/ .libreoffice/ .fonts.conf .fontconfig/ but this did not change anything. I'm running XFCE, those are the installed libreoffice packages: seife@susi:~> rpm -qa *office* libreoffice-3.5.3.2-1.1.x86_64 libreoffice-draw-3.5.3.2-1.1.x86_64 patterns-openSUSE-office-12.2-2.2.x86_64 libreoffice-mailmerge-3.5.3.2-1.1.x86_64 libreoffice-draw-extensions-3.5.3.2-1.1.x86_64 libreoffice-l10n-de-3.5.3.2-1.2.noarch libreoffice-icon-themes-prebuilt-3.5.3.2-1.1.x86_64 libreoffice-impress-extensions-3.5.3.2-1.1.x86_64 patterns-openSUSE-gnome_office-12.2-2.2.x86_64 libreoffice-calc-3.5.3.2-1.1.x86_64 libreoffice-kde4-3.5.3.2-1.1.x86_64 libreoffice-writer-extensions-3.5.3.2-1.1.x86_64 libreoffice-pyuno-3.5.3.2-1.1.x86_64 libreoffice-branding-openSUSE-3.3.1-8.1.noarch libreoffice-math-3.5.3.2-1.1.x86_64 libreoffice-writer-3.5.3.2-1.1.x86_64 libreoffice-templates-de-3.3-4.1.noarch libreoffice-impress-3.5.3.2-1.1.x86_64 libreoffice-gnome-3.5.3.2-1.1.x86_64 libreoffice-base-3.5.3.2-1.1.x86_64 libreoffice-icon-theme-tango-3.5.3.2-1.2.noarch patterns-openSUSE-xfce_office-12.2-2.2.x86_64 I tried installing libreoffice-gnome and libreoffice-kde4, but that did not change anyhting. * don't know how I can downgrade cairo and to which version (12.1?)
Ah, sorry I didn't make this clear :) This is exactly the workaround I mentioned. The problem looks similar and there's a proven situation that downloading libcairo2 works out. I think openSuSE 12.1 should have a good candidate binary libcairo2.
