[Bug 640793] New: Valgrind/Callgrind segfaults with deeply nested c++ templates
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=640793 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=640793#c0 Summary: Valgrind/Callgrind segfaults with deeply nested c++ templates Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: Final Platform: All OS/Version: openSUSE 11.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Development AssignedTo: pth@novell.com ReportedBy: herrmarder@googlemail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; de; rv:1.9.2.10) Gecko/20100914 SUSE/3.6.10-0.3.1 Firefox/3.6.10 I have written a c++ program that utilizes boost.spirit grammars. When I try to profile the program with callgrind, callgrind segfaults. The bug has been reported to and fixed by the valgrind team. http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=197988 It is just a one-liner. I wonder if it possible to include this fix in the opensuse valgrind. I do not know how the workflow for new packages is, but a segmentation fault sounds like something that should be fixed. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Build a program with lots of template expansions (for an example see the provided link) 2. call valgrind --tool=callgrind ./a.out -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
