[Bug 1007333] New: Volume control not in kmix's tray in Icewm. Mute Flipping Problem. Configure Sound Card.
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1007333 Bug ID: 1007333 Summary: Volume control not in kmix's tray in Icewm. Mute Flipping Problem. Configure Sound Card. Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: i586 OS: SUSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Sound Assignee: tiwai@suse.com Reporter: jzimm0007@aol.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Sound KMIX Feature requires K5Framework to display volume control in Icewm's tray on right side of panel. I noticed in Alsamixer sometimes it flips the volume control when it's muted vs when it's not so it's off when it's on and on when it's off. I have to configure the sound card in "Sound" to even get it to work to begin with and adjust the volume the first time in Icewm. I know in Opensuse 13.2 I had many problems with that. I think it should be configured upon login, because that should be an unecessary step in my opinion. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

In anyway, it's no "sound" problem, per se. Reassigned to KDE guys.
Hm, I have to admit I don't really understand what the actual problem reported here is. Kmix not starting at login (in IceWM) is no bug (especially not in kmix/KDE) as mentioned. The problems with Plasma5 not starting if the CPU does not support SSE2 (because Qt5 requires it) is no bug really either, and tracked in bug#1027691 anyway. The rest is not related to KDE in any way AFAICS. So I'm going to close this report as INVALID. In the future, please do report separate problems in separate bug reports, as has been written already. This bug report is just confusing... -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
