I have a very fast PC with AMD 64/X2 chip, 2G RAM and nVidia 8800GT. When I stream video from this site in XP: http://www.hulu.com The videos are smooth and high quality in both the small format and the full screen format. However, when I use the full screen format in openSuse 10.3, with the latest nVidia drivers installed, the video motion is jerky and blurry. Flash is just running from inside Firefox but nothing we can do here AFAIK. I started with an empty desktop, then I launched Firefox. I then navigated to the Firefox site, logged into http://hulu.com. I played the first video on the screen in minimal mode (it ran smoothly), then I pressed the full screen button and it ran jumpy, I could see the transitions (almost like each frame painting). When the full screen was running, the CPU utlization looks like: PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND 2619 root 15 0 306m 38m 11m S 54 1.9 0:56.27 X 5007 jabailo 15 0 242m 76m 24m S 52 3.8 0:42.08 firefox-bin My network speed is 1.5Mbps.
