As a consequence automatic editing of this line with cfengine fails. The obvious workaround is to add another line with an editor or with cfengine. Still it might be worth to correct this in future versions of the file. I did not check if this bug (if one wants to call it a bug) is present in other files in the /etc/sysconfig tree also. OpenSuSE 11.1 is affected as well. Sorry, but I can't tell. The SUSE branding for kde4 (DISPLAYMANAGER_KDM_THEME="SUSE") is not the last line any more in /etc/sysconfig/displaymanager. The structure of the file has changed a lot with 11.2 as compared to 11.1. No, sorry I can't tell anything about the status of this bug other than the line in question is not the last one of the file any more. From comment 4 by Stefan Dirsch it is obvious that SUSE branding is affected rather than kde.
