[Bug 462713] New: Canine DoS
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=462713 Summary: Canine DoS Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Mono AssignedTo: bnc-team-mono@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: volker3204@paradise.net.nz QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- rpm -qi beagle: Beagle is a Linux desktop-independent service which transparently and ***unobtrusively*** indexes your data in real-time. Beagle within a few hours creates tens of thousands of tmp files in /tmp with a total of gigabytes of disk space, while putting a significant load on the system and making things very sluggish. Even the mouse pointer is slow and jumpy. That's not what I call unobtrusive... Solution for the time being: rpm -e beagle (it's plain intolerable) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
