[Bug 413637] New: drop sfdisk, use parted
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=413637 Summary: drop sfdisk, use parted Product: openSUSE.org Version: unspecified Platform: All OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: System Imaging AssignedTo: ms@novell.com ReportedBy: olh@novell.com QAContact: adrian@novell.com Found By: --- Created an attachment (id=231100) --> (https://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=231100) olh-kiwi-sfdisk.patch itanium can not use msdos partitions, the firmware may not load anything from there. Also the boot manager is EFI, which may also lack support for msdos partition tables. Also, if there is a really huge disk, a non-msdos disk label may be required. So its time to remove all sfdisk stuff from kiwi and use parted instead. The attached patch is a starting point to remove the string sfdisk from kiwi sources.. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
