Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Burn a openSUSE-11.3-GNOME-LiveCD-i686 CD from openSUSE-11.3-GNOME-LiveCD-i686.iso and verify the MD5 & SHA-1 checksums. 2. Attempt use this CD to boot openSUSE-11.3-GNOME-LiveCD-i686 on a Sony Vaio P series netbook (in particular, a VGN-P720D). This is unsuccessful every time. Actual Results: Here are the messages produced when attempting to boot openSUSE-11.3-GNOME-LiveCD-i686 on the Sony Vaio P series netbook: Loading KIWI CD Boot-System... ------------------------------ Creating device nodes with udev Boot logging started on /dev/tty1(/dev/console) at Sun Aug 1 14:33:11 2010 Boot-Logging enabled on /dev/tty3 [ 1.936465] Kernel logging enabled on: /dev/tty4 [ 1.950927] Waiting for USB device scan to complete.................. [ 36.921512] rebootException: error consoles at Alt-F3/F4 [ 36.924935] rebootException: reboot in 120 sec... A reboot occurs after 120 sec and the same thing happens again. Expected Results: openSUSE-11.3-GNOME-LiveCD-i686 should successfully boot on a Sony Vaio P series netbook, just as the previous version (11.2) does. The openSUSE-11.3-GNOME-LiveCD-i686 CD boots successfully on a range of other PCs. The previous version of openSUSE GNOME LiveCD, version 11.2, successfully boots on the Sony Vaio P series netbook.
