There are two differences in the logs:
1) The connection attempt made with the gnome-plugin is made with user 'friederike'. The one with the kde-plugin uses 'felix' as user name. Is this intended? yes, this is intended. I do not know how to use booth at the same time. Therefore the gnome one is run on another computer.
vpnc and the kde-plugin run on the same machine!
2) The vpn data string made with the kde-plugin contains an empty entry for Domain whereas the one made with the gnome-plugin does not set a Domain at all.
Can you please unckeck the checkbox "use domain for authentication" and try again? I unchecked it but it is still not working. Will attach log in a moment.
btw. It was checked as I was playing with another bug: One has to check "use domain for authentication" two times for the text-field below to be grayed out. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

I see the following:
/usr/sbin/vpnc: warning: unknown configuration directive in stdin at line 9 /usr/sbin/vpnc: hash comparison failed: AUTHENTICATION_FAILED check group password!
** (process:6588): WARNING **: <WARNING> vpnc_watch_cb (): vpnc exited with error code 1
the password is correct, i have typed it at least 10 times ...
Please exchange the "Group Password" and the "Password". I have the strong feeling that the passwords get inverted in some way.
btw. the arrow keys do not work in the password-dialog and i can not mark it ...
Thats the normal behavior of the KDE-password-editbox. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
