After reading Comment 2 I had to manually edit ~/.oscrc to change the email address after I changed it in my novell account whereas when I first created my build service account ~/.oscrc was created with the correct one. Nothing even warned me about updating oscrc. Maybe this has been fixed, I'm not in the position to change my email address and risk messing other things up. When a build service account is set up and oscrc is originally created, it is created with the user's novell account email address. The feature I'm requesting is for osc to check the users email hasn't changed and if it has to automatically update it in oscrc. This could happen when "osc vc" is used as "osc vc" is the only function that needs the users email address. In this case the email field shouldn't be in osc rc at all. I've just removed the "email= davejplater@gmail.com" field from .oscrc completely and osc vc gives the correct email address so maybe this field shouldn't have been there in the first place and if it is no longer created by osc then this bug is invalid. If it's set its content will be used as the email address. Otherwise osc checks if you provided an alternative email address in your ~/.oscrc.
