The problem is that the disks are connected to two different conrollers and the module loading order (pata_amd vs. sata_nv) differs before and after installation. I think this is avoidable if you put the modules in the right order into /etc/sysconfig/kernel::INITRD_MODULES. The general folklore of the kernel people is, I fear, that the module loading order is undefined and you should use names from /dev/disk/by-id/ if you need fixed device names for disks.
