[Bug 477021] New: unmount in krusader's context menu does not work for auto-mounted devices
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=477021 Summary: unmount in krusader's context menu does not work for auto-mounted devices Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: All OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Applications AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: jbohac@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Development 1) in a KDE 4 session, plug in a USB flash/hard drive 2) it gets automatically mounted (by HAL) in /media/disk 3) open krusader 4) right click on the "/media/disk directory and choose "unmount" A cryptic error message is displayed, containing: "/bin/umount/media/disk: Not a directory" There are two problems with this: 1) there is obviously a space missing in a command krusader is trying to run internally 2) the command will not work anyway, because the auto-mounted device is not in fstab, so it can not be unmounted without root privileges. IMO, the menu item should either be fixed to correctly unmount the auto-mounted devices or it should be disabled for auto-mounted devices. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
