This is an usability issue: it should not ask me for ESSID, it should scan for available networks and let me choose one. 2. Even if I enter the ESSID, it still doesn't obtain an IP through DHCP. It's not a local problem, I have two phones that use WiFi, and this very laptop also works if I boot 13.2 I'll open new bugs.
