So as I have discovered, in openSUSE 42.1, fonts in GTK 2 will never look good,
because of some patents in freetype2 (libfreetype6) packages. I have installed
"namtrac" repository and fonts are now fine!

Interesting that other popular distros get font rendering right out of the box!

You should at least warning in installer about this issue and how to possible
solve it! I could have solved this issue much earlier, not after 6 months of
horrible fonts in Firefox! I can easily tolerate other bugs, but not font
rendering.
