Once started, and then closed, Remmina remains still running in background. Its icon is visible in the desktop's panel. Placing the pointer over its icon or even clicking it does not get opening any window, so there is no other way to be used to shut down the program but to make use of the system monitor (KSysGuard) or the console to end its process by PID.
