4.11rc4 contains some patches that might make a difference here. I was notified
about them by J�rg's git-fixes script:

47e6fb4212d0 Input: ALPS - fix trackstick button handling on V8 devices
e7348396c6d5 Input: ALPS - fix V8+ protocol handling (73 03 28)

In particular the 2nd one may be interesting, it applies to ALPS devices with
device ID 'E7="73 03 28"', not sure if that applies to E7470.

I wonder if some of the touchstick users could give 4.11rc4 a try. I could do
it myself, but I fear that I'm not qualified to assess whether or not the stick
is working as smoothly as it would be expected.
