BTW (unrelated to this bug but regarding a possible patch rpm) ...

... the above wicked update (0.6.36) automatically adds another unwanted
nameserver to my resolv.conf plus another search domain:

This change is IMO not appropriate for a stable maintenance update. How is this
link local name server known, also ipv6 autoconf nowadays?
