I have this bug in 13.2. As for logrotating /var/log/mysql/mysqld.log, you have to wonder if it's really necessary - it is not configured by default, you have to manually amend /etc/my.cnf. Besides, even in previous releases, nothing much was ever written to mysqld.log, rotating was just not necessary unless you had lots of errors. Easy work-around - rm /etc/logrotate.d/mysql
