Error in sysconfig.
Hallo;
Installing openSUSE tumbleweed, there is a localization problem for german
users, such as keyboard layout is wrong and certain "-lang" packets and
patterns for language are not selected. This just a sidenote. Now to the error:
Searching for a solution on the point that YaST keyboard localization settings
are not properly recognized i went to sysconfig.The error occurs in this
condition as follows:
Go to YaST -> sysconfigeditor and select:
Hardware -> Keyboard -> Keytable.
Set this value to: de-latin1-nodeadkeys
Press ok and apply the changes. In attachment, please find the screenshot with
"Error".
Searching YaST software management for a packet providing "kbd.service" gives
no result.
# rpm -q kbd
# kbd-2.0.2-10.2.x86_64
Expected result should be that the keytable gets updated by sysconfig
preferences.
I fixed it manually by editing /etc/vconsole.conf on my local computer:
# KEYMAP=de-latin1-nodeadkeys
Hope you can do something about.
Greetings,
