Sorry, it's no help to hang on this bug.  The Elantech touchpad over designware
i2c on ASUS laptops is WONTFIX for Leap, as we discussed in this lengthy debug
session.  If the issue is same for your Lenovo machine, the result is also
same, WONTFIX.  If it's a different issue, you'd need to open another bug
report in anyway.

BTW, Skylake intel_idle fix was merged to 4.6-rc1, and backported to stable. 
It'll be likely pulled in the next update.
