Well, there is another fix included in 4.4.x SLE12-SP2 / openSUSE-42.2 kernels that isn't in 4.8 upstream yet: the workaround for i915 hibernate resume. Maybe this hits on yours, too. In anyway, I backported the patches I've added to stable and master branches. Please check kernel-of-the-day once after they are pulled.
