A side effect of moving the daemons from one package to the other is that if
you upgrade the daemon still remains on (I guess an open file descriptor is the
culprit). A good thing would be outputting a message after the update. 

Something like: "This update moves the remote logging capabilities to
systemd-journal-remote. If the daemons
systemd-journal-{remote,upload,gatewayd,...} were used, it's suggested to
install also systemd-journal-remote and reconfigure it to retain the setup"
