Comment # 12 on bug 913339 from Stakanov Schufter

I have installed leap as beta and updated to one day before the release of RC1.
I do not know if the patch is already there. Yes I think this should be
installed by pattern as most people will not know how to handle the problem.

I do therefore not know if I had installed it (because openvpn is currently
broken, passwordmanagement problem it seams, and therefore also ktp is broken
as I have to type in the password (which is loooong) every time. So the
usability is low. 

That said: installing with zypper up all the patches you notice that:
the grafical rappresentation of the networkmanager icon is missiong. A space is
there. If you join one manually with add object to task bar, it is there, works
so so but is crippled because does not open the mini popup when you click or
hover over it. However you can get configuration to work, that yes, if you use
it on the desktop and not on the taskbar. 
If this is not very understandable I can provide you a screenshot tomorrow. I
also can try to do an update with the RC! (or if equivalent a zypper dup with
the repo current ...but I doubt it is the same, as the repo for RC1 changed.
