Comment # 9 on bug 973707 from Klaus Vink Slott

Since my report I resorted to install from DVD image (I mostly deploy virtual
machines in KVM), but as follow up on your question Stefan, I did a few more
test today. 

I had no issues what so ever. Install and subsequent LVM operation was without
problems.

Since April I have replaced my PXE boot environment with a iPXE environment and
before my test today I adjusted it to resemble the one described here

I cant see how it could have made any difference as the kernel loaded is from
the same location, so I guess the error have been ironed out since then. At
least it is not present in the kernel I currently have, dated October 29.
