I understand the need for using VMs, and I had tested that Leap 42.1 worked in a VB VM using KDE. I had no way of knowing that the update of gdm to 3.16.x would break vboxvideo. At least this issue will be fixed for Leap GM and in a near-future Tumbleweed release. BTW, if you are unhappy with the way I maintain VirtualBox, I would be more than happy to turn it over to you. :)
