yes I could but that had no succes. (ok, I know, it was too obvious) what I did is this to fix (as I needed to go on) o) created a copy of all the rpm's in a list o) created a backup of /etc and other interesting places o) tried to roll back. failed. (may be the partition schema) o) reinstalled a fresh copy of 42.2 and used the pertitioning schema I always use a different one than what is proposed for extremely good reasons ;-) o) stripped the versioning stuff and did a forced reinstall of all the rpm's o) restored the stuff needed to get back in shape. regarding the anaconda question -- no I did not. It can be closed.
