Well, I would not necessarily say that it is not appropriate. First, you are sharing a single EFI partition and - as I understand - even both of them share the same directory (which is caused by both having the same vendor, to be expected in this case). Expecting that they will not interfere at all is a bit too optimistic :-) The EFI partition is relatively small - and as such, it needs to be clean-up regularly not to contain too much stuff; there are even implementations which wipe it completely on bootloader reinstallation. Therefore I would say that the behavior you recoginze is somehow to-be-expected. Michael, what's your view?
