Comment # 15 on bug 950208 from Johannes Meixner

Right now I installed openSUSE Leap 42.1 Beta 1
with default KDE desktop (Ugh! - a desktop! ;-)
from scratch and I did not get hplip installed:

# zypper se --recommends hplip

I think the "hplip gets installed" part of this issue
is hereby solved (i.e. by default one does not get it installed).

According to comment#3 I guess the "current KDE incompatible with HPLIP"
part of this issue is the same as in bug#948352
