Hi Stefan, maybe Takashi refers this to boo #1015043? If that's the case than this fix could be welcome if a transition away from xf86-input-synaptics is wished. I don't know how to test this correctly. I could uninstall xf86-input-synaptics and then test if mouse and touchpad still work as expected, but I'm quite happy with the old evdev system :) See Release Notes https://doc.opensuse.org/release-notes/x86_64/openSUSE/Leap/42.2/ chapter 2.1.4 "Synaptics X Driver Can Degrade Touchpad Experience Under GNOME".
