For sure, the box never comes up again after a resume (whether it's from memory
or from disk). I would have to double check though if the error message is
always the same.

I recently bought the box (second hand) and hence only used it with Leap 42.2.
Will try with a live DVD of an older Opensuse release. Any suggestion which one
I should try ?
