With a new Asus main board, the probability of this weirdo problem has been
reduced.  But only reduced.  And it still happens.  Clearing the "needinfo"
flag, too, since it is unclear what more you need.  I would be completely happy
to explore the system when it is in the broken state -- I just need to know
what you need to know.
