Olli, this works like expected. Keycode 94 is mapped to keycode 94 = backslash bar backslash bar backslash bar backslash bar backslash bar and this is what you get. I've checked a german keyboard, I cannot find any key that generates this key code. One can use evtest to check this. My only german keyboard is a bit of a compact model but it has all the 'standard' keys.
