I started with the version from the boinc site, when that did not worked -
after installing the required dependencies, I tried using Yast2 after first
clearing all previous installed files.

But I have compiled boinc from source, and now things are working as it should
be. Maybe the offered version from suse was the same as on the boinc site,
without any recompile.
