After installation from x86-64 DVD ISO, the boot loader menu displayed in ASCII mode, instead of using graphical mode. Starting Yast2 -> Boot Loader Settings applet -> Kernel Parameters tab, the "Use graphical console" radio button is pressed (on), but the "Console theme" text widget is empty. Pressing browse and selecting "/boot/grub2/themes/openSUSE/theme.txt" fixes the issue.
