I run X.org using driver 340.65. Under OpenSUSE 13.2, when I suspend to RAM and later resume, various servers options are reset to the default. This notably includes the keyboard map (set with xmodmap) and key repeat options (set with xset r rate x y). There may be other options being changed that I haven't yet uncovered. On OpenSUSE 13.1 (driver 340.32) and earlier versions, s2ram/resume did not affect X server options--nor would one expect it to. (To be fair, dispwin color map settings were also lost on these versions.) For now, I have worked around the problem by adding a simple script in /etc/pm/sleep.d that will reset things upon resume.
