French (Switzerland) is defined as deadkeys layout in 42.2 as it was before in
42.1.

So no changes in behaviour neither for French (Switzerland) nor for German
(Switzerland) (see my comment #13).

So where is the bug/regression here? I can't see it.

If you want to change the system's default from French (Switzerland) nodeadkeys
to deadkeys change the setting in etc/vconsole.conf from "ch-de_nodeadkeys"
to "ch-de".
