I tried the 4.0.0.1.g49e42b-desktop kernel and it's associalted components
(X86_64 and so far it seems to work quite stable. Not sure yet if it works 24x7
but the frequent disconnects seem to be gone.

The kernel version 4.0.0.2 does not boot here so skipped that one.
