Btw: after running a further mkinitrd it works even with the new modules. 
(Re)installing the x11 driver with

  zypper in --force x11-video-nvidiaG04-367.35-25.1.x86_64

does destroy it. That is that within the spec scriptlets there is also
a mkinitrd call but with a somehow broken setup? Or it is soemhow random that
is that after mkinitrd it may happen that it does not work?
