Lately, it would not start because the configuration file could not be read. I found that removing the profile for apcupsd in apparmor would eliminate the problem. I replaced the apcupsd profile and ran aa-complain. Looking at this profile using a text editor, I see the complain flag has indeed been set. Apcupsd will run correctly. I do get lots of processes stuck in 'D' state with symptoms similar to what you report, but it always clears eventually. Looking in /proc/meminfo, Writeback is high and slowly decreases. Once it gets lot, everything starts moving again. This is quite normal for NFS. If you write fast than the connection to the NFS server will allow (and trinity writes quite a lot to the log files), it will block from time to time while data flushes out. However long did it remain blocked for - do you remember? If you can conveniently run it again, can you check Writeback in /proc/meminfo when it locks up and see if it is decreasing, and what happens when it reaches a small number? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

My setup which has the same problem: I'm using OpneSuse 13.2 with the most up to date KDE desktop and the default screensaver. I have a 6 monitors arranged in an array of 3 across by 2 down. It's a feature. Well, maybe a misfeature, but still a feature. The gpg2 developers have decided to exclude pgp2 keys because they use md5 hashes which are considered insufficiently secure. There are no upstream patches to cachefiled and nothing in the kernel which looks relevant, so it is probable that this bug still exists. Firstly, could you check that /var/cache/fscache isn't running out of space. In particular, the output of: df /var/cache/fscache du -s /var/cache/fscache cat /etc/cachefilesd.conf would be helpful - if only to confirm there is nothing odd there. Secondly, can you get me a full kernel log of a cache on the most recent kernel that you can conveniently run? One way to get a kernel log would be to configure netconsole. I can give details if you need them. This requires another computer running Linux to gather the logs. It might also help to turn on cachefiles debugging.
