What driver for braille Top (HANDITEC)
Hi, I have a BrailleTop from HANDITEC and I use it without any problem with suse 7.0 in the past. Today I wish to use it with BRLTTY directly. i have configured and compiled BRLTTY with Vario-HT driver but the BrailleTop does not work. Is someone here using a such display with Suse and then can he/she tell me what is the good driver to use ? Thank in advance. I can't help you with your problem, but what are the reasons for changing
from SuSE-Blinux to brltty?
Sorry, if I'm to curious ;-).

No, no ! You are not too curious and I was waiting for this question :
The reason is very simple : it's in my Office and I must use another
distribution (in life we have not ever the choice). But perhaps another
solution is to install suse-blinux rpms with this distribution . do you
think it will be possible to do a such thing without problems ? Thanks.

the only problem is the directory in /etc/int.d odr /etc/rc.d you can force the rpm to install sbl and then you can set the links to the suse-blinux start-script manually if I know the /etc tree then I cann tell what's different regards marco

Hello: I am interested in installing Suse-blinux and have a couple of questions. I have a Navigator 80 and need to know if will work with Suse-blinux. Also, where can I find a list of braille displays that will work with this distribution? Thanks.

this brailledisplays are currently supported from Suse-Blinux:
+ Fa. Papenmeier: 2dlite, tiny, 2d, el80, el66, el2d, el40
+ Handytech: ht40, ht80, brlwave
+ Baum: vario40, vario80
+ Alva: abt340, abt380, abt34d, abt38d, del440, del480
+ Tiemann: cmbbrl25, cmbbrl40, cmbbrl80
+ Blazie: brllite40
I unfortunatly don't know the Navigator 80 :-(. But maybe Marco can tell
you, if it works with sbl or not.
Best regards,
Schoeppi

Right ! Suse-blinux is a very good solution. For your question about using
BRLTTY I sent the response a few minutes ago.
effectively it will be good to programm BrailleTop keys but the problem
comes before this. When I say that it doesn't work I mean that the braille
display doesn't display anything. Hummm !!! Incorrect : It displays some
alone points with an intervalle of ten blank cells between this points.
An idea ?
