[opensuse-autoinstall] Autoinstall without X
Hello, I have a need to install NVIDIA drivers during my autoinstall process. Installing these drivers requires that X not be running. Does autoyast have an option to install without X? Regards, W. I'm not sure if I understand what you want. Either try <runlevel> <default>3</default> </runlevel> so you won't get X started up at the end of the installation. Or try to pass textmode=1 to the linuxrc commandline before the installation starts. That forces yast to use the textmode instead of graphical. -- ciao, Uwe Gansert Uwe Gansert, Server Technologies Team SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) Business: http://www.suse.de/~ug -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-autoinstall+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-autoinstall+help@opensuse.org

You can probably avoid messing with X by just adding the "NVIDIA Driver
Installation Source" to your add_on_products section:
