[opensuse-autoinstall] autoyast in chroot
Hi Is it possible to run autoyast in a mode where installs the distribution in a chroot on an existing system instead of installing a new system? In other words, the result would be a directory structure with the new OS installed inside the existing system directory structure. Thanks. -- Ragnar Kjørstad Software Engineer Scali - http://www.scali.com Scaling the Linux Datacenter -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-autoinstall+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-autoinstall+help@opensuse.org

you can use ayast_setup: http://www.suse.com/~ug/tools/ayast_setup.ycp to let the second stage run in a chroot env. but that's all. I'm not sure if that fulfils your needs. -- ciao, Uwe Gansert Uwe Gansert, Server Technologies Team SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) Business: http://www.suse.de/~ug -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-autoinstall+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-autoinstall+help@opensuse.org

Not really. I wanted something that would install a SuSE chroot environment from scratch. But thanks anyway. -- Ragnar Kjørstad Software Engineer Scali - http://www.scali.com Scaling the Linux Datacenter -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-autoinstall+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-autoinstall+help@opensuse.org
